Cookies Policy
Effective May 17, 2026
This Cookies Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies (if any) are set when you visit icemint.io, and how you can control them. It supplements our Privacy Policy and our Terms of Use.
1. Summary
icemint.io does not use tracking cookies. We do not run analytics, advertising, attribution, or session-replay tools, and we do not set cookies for any of those purposes. The only cookies that may be set in your browser when you visit icemint.io are infrastructure cookies set by Cloudflare, our content-delivery network, for the purposes of bot management and load balancing.
2. What a cookie is
A cookie is a small text file that a website asks your browser to store on your device. It can be read back by the website (or a service operating on its behalf) the next time you visit. Cookies are used for many purposes, including remembering preferences, keeping you signed in, tracking behaviour across pages or across sites, and operating infrastructure such as load balancers and bot-management systems.
"Local storage" (localStorage) and "session storage" (sessionStorage) are related browser technologies for storing data on your device. We do not use either for any tracking purpose.
3. Cookies that may be set on icemint.io
The cookies listed below may be set on your device when you visit icemint.io. They are set by our content-delivery network (Cloudflare), not by Icemint, and they are used solely for infrastructure purposes. They are not used for analytics, profiling, advertising, or any purpose related to identifying you across sites.
3.1 __cf_bm
- Set by: Cloudflare
- Purpose: Bot management. Distinguishes legitimate browser traffic from automated abuse and protects the site from denial-of-service.
- Duration: 30 minutes (rolling).
- Strictly necessary: Yes — required to operate the Service.
3.2 __cflb
- Set by: Cloudflare
- Purpose: Load balancing. Ensures that requests in a single browsing session are routed to a consistent origin server where applicable.
- Duration: Session, up to several hours.
- Strictly necessary: Yes — required to operate the Service.
These cookies are categorised as "strictly necessary" under typical cookie-classification frameworks. They are not used to collect information about your browsing habits and are not shared for marketing purposes.
4. Cookies we do not use
We want to be specific about what we do not do, because absence is hard to verify by inspection alone. icemint.io does not use:
- analytics cookies (no Google Analytics, no Plausible, no Fathom, no comparable service);
- advertising or attribution cookies (no Meta Pixel, no TikTok pixel, no LinkedIn Insight Tag, no comparable pixel);
- session-recording or session-replay cookies;
- heat-mapping cookies;
- email or CRM tracking cookies;
- cookies set by social-media embeds (we do not embed third-party social widgets);
- cookies for personalisation or A/B testing.
We also do not use localStorage or sessionStorage for tracking. If you ever find one of the above in use on icemint.io, please tell us at [email protected] — we treat that as a bug.
5. Controlling cookies in your browser
You can block, delete, or restrict cookies through your browser settings. Because the cookies in use on icemint.io are infrastructure cookies, blocking them may degrade your experience (for example, by causing additional bot-protection challenges), but the site will remain functional. Browser-specific instructions:
- Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Third-party cookies (or Cookies and other site data).
- Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: Settings → Privacy → Manage Website Data.
- Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
You can also browse in a private or incognito window, which discards cookies when the window is closed. Browser-level "Do Not Track" signals are honoured on icemint.io trivially, because we already do not track.
6. Consistency with our other policies
The categories of cookie-related processing disclosed here are intended to be consistent with our Privacy Policy. If you spot a discrepancy between the two, please let us know at [email protected] and we will reconcile.
7. Changes
We may update this Cookies Policy from time to time. The "Effective" date above will be updated when we do.
